Via the ProSearch platform, you can perform pharma searches separately or in combination with trademark and other sources.

Firstly, select the necessary databases.

For that, you can type the database name directly into the search string and select one of the suggested options from the dropdown menu:

To add Pharma sources, please switch to Pharma tab and select necessary sources at Pharma-in-use tab and Other Pharma tab:

Then, fill out the searched term into Name field:

If you search for both Trademarks and Pharma names, and would like POCA ranking to be applied to both, please make sure to tick "Advanced similariry + POCA" search mode.

This option will be applied for your results in classes 3 and 5:

Please fill out any other applicable search parameters (classes, goods and services, status, etc), and when ready, click the “Search” button at the bottom of the page to launch the search

the If you ordered a combined search for pharma + trademarks, as explained above, you will get access to Trademark results first, while Pharma-specific results and Merged tab will still be finalized and inaccessible for a bit more time (as on the screenshot below, you can see words “Calculating” and “Searching” at Result summary section for those parts of the search that are still in progress):

This kind of combined search produces at least 4 types of results that are displayed in separate tabs:

  • Trademarks – Markify algo-driven results that are produced by our proprietary algorithm and provide results in Risk Level 1 (very high risk, Identical) and Risk Level 2 (very high risk, most similar results)
  • Trademark (POCA) – here you will find trademark results with POCA algorithm (so you will see that the number of results and their sequence is different from the first tab)
  • Pharma – lists all of the similar pharmaceutical results (Pharma-in-Use and other pharma sources), this tab also has POCA ranking
  • Merged (pharma) tab displays a combination of “Trademark (POCA)” tab info and “Pharma” tab info, grouping results by name and highlighting matches where a name is both trademarked and in use as pharma.

At Merged pharma tab, you can unfold the details for all names by clicking the "Unfold" link, or do it one by one clicking on the Grouped name cells:
